man this is getting me fired up to do some night fishing again,.,
I recall we used to be out there and there were these little birds that would dive bomb over us and swoop in to get bugs that were hovering around our headlights.. its kind of scary the first time it happens because they go a few inches over your head with a loud, WHOOOOSH.. we at first thought they were bats, but they are likely purple martins are some kind of swallow. its kind of hard to get used to, because its dead silent until you hear the WHOOOSH.. ha
we used to bring the little coleman stove out with us, and grill up some bratwurst or smoked sausage and make some wraps and drink a few cold brewski' s .
Its a very peaceful , relaxing way to fish. good for the soul!

Man SK, you keep that up and I gonna hafta come fish with you , now since i have your attention these fish we like to catch are they called Crappie or croppie, ?

Probably bats. Reminded me of all the winter nights I spent on Monticello in the mid to late 80's. Fond memories, big bass, a Coleman heater and cold Coors. Miss those nights!
