Anyone fishing this bait? My buddy had a few on my boat last week and I was impressed with the looks and action of the bait. Didn't catch any fish on the bait but had a horrible day overall. The size is about right as well as the weight. The hook keeper seems to be a bonus even though my buddy was having issues keeping the hook hidden in it. Just ordered one and could only find them on Ebay for around 15 bucks with shipping. Looks like its going to be a while before they are back in stock in box stores and TW. Many colors to choose from however all the good ones are gone. I ended up with a Pumpkin Seed which seems to be a legit color.

I think Mark Perry has been using them for a little bit.

I'm a fan of the Dark Sleeper so I'll definitely use the Sleeper Gill

No. They are very different. The Dark Sleeper excels fished like a jig. We sell a bunch especially around DFW and Fork that many guys use like a jig around brushpiles, docks etc. It can be fished like a small swimbaiy but seems to me it works better here like a jig. I pitch boat docks with it sometimes. It comes in multiple lengths and weights.

The Sleeper Gill is more of a swimbait. The head has a nice little motion to it and and just tge right amount of tail action. It can be fished like a jig but it's been more imitations. for me as a swimbait. It has a larger boot tail than the Dark Sleeper. It also will be deadly on bed fish during the spawn. The colors MB Gizzard and Brownie are killer shad imitations. It is only available in 3/4oz.

Their body profiles are totally different. The Dark Sleeper is based on a goby and really got tested hard up north. It works great everywhere but it's origin is goby based. The Sleeper Gill is based on a bluegill. Right now in this heat you can swim it around docks holding gills and catch some good fish on them. The colors cichlid and pumpkinseed are about as real looking as it gets. Both skip exceptionally well too. We have a crawfish version coming out in the future. It's gonna be as popular as both the other Sleepers.
