Hey all,
Will be taking a few days of vacation mid October and want to see who all y'all recommend for a guide on Toledo Bend.

Cheers,

I’d suggest either Harold Allen or Stephen Johnston.

Would you ultimately go with one over the other?

Both would be awesome to spend a day in the boat with.
Mr Allen would be worth it just to listen to his stories. He has been there and done it.
Mr Johnston would probably be more more instructional, but he is also a heck of a stick on
TB and SR both.

Dave Truax 409-791-2453 fishing guide Sam Rayburn & Toledo Bend, I use 1-2 times/yr for last 8+ years on Toledo Bend: very good, highly recommend; ONLY - cell phone & text messages; NO internet;
I stayed at Fin & Feather Resort (Toledo Bend), 245 Fin & Feather Drive, Hemphill, TX 75948; 409-579-2056 http://www.finnfeatherresort.com finandfeatherlodge@gmail.com

Several good guides on the Bend, really depends on what you’re looking for. For your timeframe Jason Courville would be hard to beat.
