Got out early checked the usual spots had some action that didn’t last long then went searching without much luck then got into a good school of them but they were on the move pretty easy to keep up with them with the trolling motor except for one boat that several times just had to fire up the big motor and charge right into the front of the school. ( you just can’t fix stupid) overall it was a great day

The bigger fish are still below the mayhem gorging on the wounded and falling shad.

I had the same issue with a guy in a pontoon boat Saturday mid day. We would get on them and he would chase down the blowups on the big motor.

Weekend before last found a pretty big school that stayed up for about 45 min by Culp island moving towards dam. That was about 8-9am, with a S wind. This past weekend was not so lucky. Found a few pop ups but nothing to get excited about. Crazy. N wind in Mid July & it’s still 102 degrees. Blame it on Biden hahahaha!

The schools on top lately have been on Red Bull. Geeze they are moving fast.

How big are the whites running at Ray Bob? Any 15-inch fish or larger?

We were bass fishing Saturday and had several schools pop up by the boat. Picked off several from each school but they were moving fast and only stayed up for a couple of minutes at a time. We were bass fishing in 25ft of water and the baitfish was THICK. Dennis, every fish we caught was over 15 inches. They were BIG. We only had DD22's tied on (for bass) and they would hit those so that tells you how big they were. The area was basically between State Park Cove and Sand Branch.

Taking a veteran fishing this weekend and was going to try and find some sand bass. Any ideas on where to locate them would be much appreciated!
