Myself and buddy Jeff fished the LBL this past Thursday. Launched our kayaks on the west side. Got to the lake about an hour late due to I-35 traffic. Fishing was slow. Only managed 12 sunfish in three hours of fishing. Redbreast in 8 to 10 inch range, Bluegill in the 7 to 9 inch range, and Hybrid Sunfish in the 8 to 9 inch range. Jeff lost a nice bass at the edge of his kayak. Guessing the weight in the 5 pound range. Fish were caught in 8 to 10 feet of water west side of the lake. Gulp Alive Minnows on a drop shot rig were used. All fish were released. The traffic was worst going home. As the saying goes. "It's always a good day fishing".

Nice post Curtis. Do you know what the water temperature was?



Side Note: I have several places I fish that I have to travel I-35 north. Traffic is bad most of the time.
