If you are self employeed, who do you use for health insurance? Any good links to comparison?
I am considering a lease operator trucking job and it would require an LLC and my getting my own insurance coverage

I talked to this guy when I retired but was able to get on my wife's but he was pretty reasonable I thought. I talked to Bill. https://americanhealthpro.com/health-insurance-in-tyler-tx

Bcbs Texas thru Obama bs.. It’s not cheap and it’s not great, but it’s better than most of the other options out there, at least it’s major… P.s. most those lease jobs are junk too, be careful, they have been duping dumb truckers with those fleece purchases for many years.. Buy a truck privately then lease on somewhere if you don’t want your own authority.. You “fleece” one thru the company you gonna pull for odds are your gonna get screwed.. I pull for Oakley, where you thinking of leasing?

That BCBS plan raped me a few years. PokerJ on THF helped me beat that significantly with a much better plan. I will send you the contact Sir.

Thanks. My new company just sent me their plan. Its bcbs and $1000 a.month with 7500 deduct for just me. I paid around $50 a week at last few jobs.
So im just looking for options, including lease operator and then health insurance is a business expense

We have Humana, $2500/mo. for 3 of us, The wife and I are above average healthy and the kid is about to turn 11, we have no pre-existing conditions and no one takes prescription drugs. The coverage is pretty good and the deductibles are reasonable as they should be with a $30k yearly premium. Like WAWI said, total beat down.

Remember that if you were under a group plan through your employer they were most likely paying 70 percent of cost. What you pay through and employer and what you pay self employed are 2 totally different animals. I have paid for a family policy as little as 1200 a month and as much as 2400 a month...... I'm with United right now cause I had to do something different, I was with blue cross forever. Also under private plans you can pretty much forget dental and vision. It's a whole different world. The upside is you can do a little customization depending on you go with.

My company pays half and mine is still too expensive. I’m 27, healthy and don’t smoke.
