No matter what brand of boat I buy, I embarrass myself. My original response of Crestliner was my attempt to give you a response that was relative to when you joined the TFF

So you’re a fan ? You know, if it was free, I’d say it was the greatest boat ever. If I’m paying for it, it would be at the end of the list. Free is good And if I had a 100k to spend on a boat (which I don’t ) it wouldn’t be one of those two .

Vexus has been around for 4 years or so and I've yet to see one of their glass rigs on the water. Kind of make me wonder how long they'll be in business or continue to make them.

If you can afford it, I would honestly recommend you going and standing on each boat. Open all the storage, poke around the boat, sit in the boat, "do the Vroom Vroom" noise and pretend your driving it. I always like input from others to see what they think is going to be a better made product. But in the end I have to sit down and dig into the internet for reviews, and info. I would honestly be more interested in what motor your going to have on the boat. And lastly, can you even get a ultrex these days? Setting up a boat with all the electronics, batteries, and Actually being able to get the products is tough these days. Wondering if you have been in each boat? If I was buying a new boat, which to be honest isn't going to happen. I would want to do a demo in rough water, and i mean wind advisory weather to really see how it rides. Your talking about numbers in the 80k+ range with all the accessories if im not mistaken. If it were me, i would buy an older Champion and update it. My boat is a tool, and I don't baby it. I am not afraid of scratching my girl to get up close and personal with the green fish. Good luck, and let us know what you decide.. And if you want to sell the old boat, whatever it is "ill give you 10 bucks cash for it right now.. ".... Prosise

Get which ever one blows your dress up. Most people have a biased opinion. Do your analysis and get what is right for you.

Go and look at Ken Smith fishing on buying a bass boat, he did a great job of comparison, then make make up your mine.

Got a Vexus VX20. Not the prettiest boat I've ever owned but its ride in rough water will beat in bass boat I have ever been in in rough water. And you will stay dry! Once you figure out how to trim it out in rough water it can handle some mighty big rollers.

Vexus is expanding right now, adding on to the manufacturing side of the building and adding numerous jobs. I feel like the vexus is a better built boat but I still cannot get past the looks of it, they are not as bad if some of the badging is removed, of those two I would have to go Ranger, it is still one bad arse looking boat and I feel like they are built a lot better than what many are claiming. I wish Vexus would build a high performance hull, something to compete with Cat, Triton, Caymas etc.

I would decide based on local dealers. Both will be fine. This is like a Ford & Chevy discussion with lots of bias opinions.

Prosise This, when I bought my Skeeter I quickly realized this was actually going to be the decideding factor. The fit and feel of each boat brand. I wanted aTriton TRX in one of the larger size at one point until I sat down behind the wheel of one. I'm all legs and my knees were against the dash so that idea fell out of the running right there. If you go Vexus see if they have the option to go with out all the chrome on the side. You'll eventually rub it up against a stump and leave all that on the bottom of a lake somewhere more than likely. I can't belive they put that stuff on the side of those boats. Phoenix does the chrome logo too, but they give you the option to change to decals if I remember right.
