My boat in the shop...Docs boat in the shop...see 1st pic...there they sit... side by side waiting on work...Docs Yacht & my little Skiff. So... I got to go with Tomrom in his boat & it was a pretty good day. We split up the day fishing for bass & sunfish & didn't catch the 1st bass until noon...ended up with around 10 bass total with nothing over 3 lbs. The sunfish bite on the other hand was excellent. Like Johnboat, we found colonies that were not there a week ago. It's hard to believe that they wait until the water temp hits 95 degrees to get their groove thang on. So, we caught a whole bunch & released them all back to fight another day. All sunnies caught on the Gulp Alives mostly in the Smelt & Chartreuse colors. There were tons of little minnows all around these sunfish colonies...probably why they bite so good on the Gulp Alives...Thanks for the invite TR & have a great trip next week... [Linked Image]

I had a good time with you Steve. Sure dont know where those pesky bass went to but the gill bite made up for it. If I get back from my trip before your boat gets done, I will be happy to drag my boat to the lake and have you join me.

Nice fish. Good job guys.

Side Note: I remember when I had my boat and the days it was in the shop. It was nice to have friends who had boats that you could fish with. I could not wait until I had my boat back. It was always more enjoyable to fish from my own boat.
