Lake Havasu is the finest crappie fishing lake on the Colorado River. Crappie fishing is good in late winter and early spring. Mainly night feeders, crappies are attracted to light; for that reason, many people like to fish for them after dinner off a dock.

Thanks Jim, but we were crossing the Colorado River here in Texas over by Lampas Sorry I should've been more specific.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

I believe the Lampasas River runs into Stillhouse Lake. Colorado runs into Buchanan. And the rest of the Highland lakes.

There are crappie in nearly every body of water in texas that I can think of. I bet if you could find some nice brush in a river bend or at a creek mouth you’d catch a few.

Yep, there are crappie in the Colorado... I grew up fishing it and the Concho. You might be surprised how few lakes were stocked with white Crappie...
