So my wifes been pondering getting rid of her Mustang GT and going to a mid-sized SUV. I thought she narrowed her search down to the Lexus RX450h, but she keeps drooling over the Cayenne every time she sees one. Anybody on here with firsthand experience with one.

My wife wanted one as well. But then we saw th official reveal for the new Grand Cherokee L and went that route instead which gave us three rows.

Specifically ordered it with the 5.7 and, well, pictures speak a thousand words. Plenty fast for us.

Red, White, and Blue is so patriotic till its in your rear view mirror. All kidding aside she refuses to look at a full sized SUV. SHe said if she wants to drive something that big she has a key to my Super Duty.

If it’s the little 4 door one, I have a friend/customer that owns one. It’s actually her second one, she traded the first one in because someone in our town bought one the exact same color as hers. So she went and bought a flat grey color, pretty nice looking cars. She seems to like it pretty well and she could afford about anything currently made.

The little ones a Macan and that booger can run up into six figures when you check all the options. The Cayenne is on the bigger side of midsized.

Fwiw, we have a 2018 BMW X1 that has been an excellent vehicle. It is compact on the outside but comfortable on the inside. The 2.0L turbo 4 returns low 20's around town. Purchased it used (dealer loaner they CPO'd) with 7k miles. Now has just under 40k. No issues. Good luck with your search. Tough time to buy a car.

And nearest dealers from me are 3 hours away, Austin and San Antonio which would give her an excuse to go on a shopping spree every time it needs a service.

It is a German vehicle it goes with the territory. Beamer brake service is north of $1k.

My step brother has a Cayenne and a 911. He swears they are the best made vehicles on the road…but he’s an Exxon/Mobil exec, so he’s skewed a little with regards to reality. The absolute WORST vehicle I’ve ever owned was a Porsche, but that was back in the mid 80’s…and it was a 914-6

End the end….she didn’t pick your boat, so let her pick her vehicle. You’ll both be happier.
cheers

Every car built in the 80's was a piece of cr@p. As as for her picking her vehicle, she banks and is my sugar mama. I'll let her buy whatever she wants.

Be sure and order one of these for it. She will be really surprised the first time she sees your boat hooked up to it.
