The summer months are typically the no brainer months to go fishing. When the weather has been right, that has been true to form. Now this summer has had some windy days and last week we got 3 days of rain and thunderstorms and that slowed the fishing down. Most of the past month has been really good to excellent. On most outings we have caught some really nice trout and a few reds. I have been fishing in lower Galveston and West Bay with live croaker. Mostly targeting scattered shell and a few shorelines where bait has been nervous. The water is warm 85-88 degrees so most of the fish are on the bottom. Early bite has been the most productive and a later bite when the tides is coming in has been golden. Well until next time, I will see you on the water!
