Headed to Port A next week is the pier worth going to or is there better hot spots to hit right now? Anything would be helpful not targeting anything specific just looking to have some fun. Bait or lure suggestions or certain rigs that work consistently. Appreciate it!

The early morning surf trout bite is usually good on anything silver or that resembles a mullet but next week is a full moon (Wednesday I think) so that early morning bite may be a little earlier and more abbreviated. The jetties are hot and a good place to go if it's not too crowded. Just get there early and take lots of tackle (the rocks don't play fair). Take some 2 oz weights too with that full moon the current could be ripping too. Wade fishing near bridges along 361 between port A and Aransas is not a bad play.

You get out of it what you put into it!

All of the main piers I fish in Port Aransas are under construction. They are building some really nice structures, but it may take awhile before they are finished. There is still good bank fishing around the ferry area and near the harbor entrance. Gold spoons are good lures. Mullet,or shrimp will get more bites most of the time.

You might consider a charter out of Dolphindocks. They have been doing pretty good, even on the 4 hour trips.
