One of the dads in the hood worked at the refinery in Tyler and would bring home thousands of little marbles that looked like clay or stone. They were a gray color and very hard.

This was media(or whatever you want to call it) from inside the separating towers.

Learned to use one at 12 going coon hunting with my neighbor in Belton .He made them also out of a tree branch and worked at Ft.Hood were he would get small ball bearings. I got pretty good at it. We never used a rifle to shoot the coons out of the trees LOL

Whamo made one when I was a kid or we went to the drug store for surgical tubing to make with mesquite.
