Who's everyone using for Boat Insurance. My rates are going up $150.00 a year. With no claims at all.

I had Progressive and State Farm in the past. Switching back to State Farm as my rates with Progressive went up. I have a fishing buddy that is a State Farm agent I can put you in touch with if you want a quote.

BIA -- Boaters insurance of America.
Got dropped by State Farm after a claim on my last boat.. BIA insured it no problem for less. Got the yearly bill last week and noticed it had doubled in the last two years so I called. Agent said that co. for what ever reason was going up big time. Thirty minutes later she call back and had me with a new underwriter... Went from almost 1000.00 to 585.00

Best rate I could find was with Progressive. Never have had a claim so can't speak about how they handle a claim.

What Ins. companies offer "agreed" value policies? State Farm does not.... Also, what type of coverage is one getting for $500 to $600 a year? $300,000 in liability, $10K in personal property damage, etc... I just received a quote on my 2023 boat and it is $1600 a year with a $250 deductible....

I use Foremost through Farmers, been using them for years with both my motorcycles when I had them and my boats. Just got my renewal and its $625 so no increase this year. Never had a claim on my boat policies but did once on one of my Harleys and it didn't affect my rates.

State farm no BS. Note: keep receipts of electronics. I had to bring my boat by my agent for a quick eyeball. Being that my boat is old, the value is pretty low based on blue book numbers. But replacing the boat would not be cheap. Talk to an agent and explain what you have as far as equipment (rods/reels), (electronics/trolling motor), and any accessories. Just my electronics alone are worth more than my 1989 boat. You get what you pay for.

I use Travelers/Goosehead,Ryan McCoy. Somewhere in the range of $850 a year. Comprehesive, liability, some level of warranty, and tournament level insurance on a 2012 Skeeter ZX200. I have everything else insured through State Farm but they couldn't beat what Ryan offered me.
