both reviews you posted of this boat are great . Since he purchased this boat --- Vexxus has increased the hull thickness by .025" ? Do you know the specific reason ?
Also , is there a reason y'all weren't wearing any life jackets when running full speed ?
Lastly , any idea on the purchase price for total package ?

Vexus increased the thickness to .025 because of all the welds breaking. They still have breaking issues just not near as many.
The reason for the life vest is I am sure is because they are both grown men
Price is around low to mid 50s

appreciate the update ---- 20+ years ago , Bass Pro tried to market an aluminum boat called " Tundra " . It had a similar shape where they tried to bend the metal to make the shape the same as a glass boat .
That Tundra only lasted a year or so --- then they discontinued it . I was asking because it seems like the Vexxus might be having similar issues .
As for your comment on gown men not wearing life jackets ---didn't realize grown men are immune to accidents .

From what I heard about the Tundra the issue was with the aluminum denting very easy. Those hulls were most likely pressed into a certain shape almost like a car or truck body. Because of this they also dented easily like a car or truck body. Imagine using a boat like that on Lake Fork with all its stumps. That hull would be dimpled like a golf ball in no time at all. I am sure they were fine open water boats.

I have a glass boat for fishing and an aluminum boat for some fishing but mostly duck hunting and both have there place.
My aluminum boat is a Gatortrax that has a .125 bottom and is beat all to hell, looks like a washboard itโ€™s dented in so bad from stringer to stringer.

I am currently having a new aluminum boat built form duck hunting and running stumps that will have a .190 bottom.

Just curious how thick of a bottom is this Vexus?
Might be something to think about if you plan on being in a heavily stump filled lake.

Aluminum boats perform well till the bottom is all dented up
