You put a sunny side up fried egg under it.. Bust out all the good gooey yellow stuff.. Mix and enjoy..

We learn as kids to make buried treasure. Butter and jelly at bottom of bowl before you fill it up.

yep, grape jelly and peanut butter were my version.

I don't eat it often but I keep the little packets of instant. Will fix it on a cold day heading out deer hunting or if I'm going to be outside working for a while. 2 packets, large dollop of butter, heaping spoon of brown sugar, and pour milk over that until it starts to get wet everywhere. Microwave on high 2 minutes. It'll come out thick and almost gummy so I'll add milk to cool it, mix well with a spoon and make it soupy. After mixing I'll half drink and half eat with a soup spoon. Hot breakfast with little effort and little mess.

Milk, not butter. Stove top not microwave. I like to add a little granola to it.
