He pitched 8 shutout innings again today against the Mets in a 2-0 win. He gave up two hits. That gives him a 10-2 record with a 2.03 ERA. Pretty impressive for an old guy coming off Tommy John surgery after not pitching for almost two years.

Some guys just know how to compete and pitch.

He’s like Roger Clemens and Nolan (not saying he’s on their level historically) in his mindset and pitching style.

Gotta give him his props. One of the best in recent times for sure.

I thought it was crazy talk when he said his goal is to get to 300 wins. He is 39 years old and was 74 wins away when the season started. It still seems like a longshot, but he may get 18 to 20 of them this year.

I just looked it up and I was wrong. He's 10-3, not 10-2.
