this is an eagle perched on the fence of feed lot in northwest Argentina.....we were shooting doves nearby and eagles have learned there will be crippled birds near the sound of shooting....look close and you can see doves and birds on the ground behind the eagle......I'll post some pictures tomorrow of the feed lot with thousands of doves circling over the lot....

When I would disk the field here prior to planting haygrazer the hawks would show up and perch themselves in good locations to pick off and field mice that might run out to avoid the tandem disk. Mostly RedTails and they seemed to have no fear of a tractor! Supper Time!

eagles and hawks down there have no fear of the hunters and the shotguns going off....I've had hawks land 20-30 yards out in front of me and tear apart a dove's breast and eat it with me shooting over it's head (but not at real low birds or they will fly away)...for some reason, eagles will only chase down crippled birds to feed whereas hawks will eat dead birds and chase down cripples...

Venemous snakes will respond to downed, floppy doves, too!
