Artificial Lure fishermen are getting a few Whites on Top Water action. Top Water lasting for 30 minutes or so early AM and late PM low light conditions. After the schooling stops, tougher than nails for the past few weeks. Live bait fishermen picking up some Hybrids deep water off the 309 Flats.

After an AWESOME Spring (March thru May with easy limits most days), White Bass have been hard to find and even harder to catch. Lake is down 3', water temps in the high 80's and thermocline not set in yet. Fish are on the move. Hopefully, the Summertime Main Lake schooling will kick in gear soon. smile

Good Luck and Good Fishin'!

Thanks,

Here's what happened today on RC. Went to the east end of the 309 flats located schooling sand bass they were moving had to have the trolling motor set on 5 to keep up with them. They only schooled for about 30 minutes we boated 11 then moved on, went across the lake to the wind scoke located a larger school of fish. This school was all hybrid they were all undersized but a lot of fun catching. We proably caught between 25 and 30 fish. When this ended we moved over to firgusion point to do so trolling I usually will catch sand bass there. The graph indicated all kinds of fish so we started trolling once again we were catching hybrid with a sand bass here and there. My friend landed two hybrid over 18 inches. The total fish caught was 14 but the hybrid sure made it fun.

Ok now I have to vent a little which I vary rarley do. I launch at the 309 boat ramp it is a one lane launch, we came in to get off of the lake and here is a guy right on the boat ramp getting his boat ready to launch, never offered to move so we could trailer my boat. Ok I wait after all there was not much else I could do, he launches his boat. Knowing that I am waiting to trailer my boat he backs up maybe 15 feet but still right in direct line with the boat ramp. I start my boat up thinking that he has moved away from the ramp put my boat in reverse and start to back up from the beach to look behind me only to see him there. He never moves! There was enough room for me to swing around him with out hitting him he never says a word. I usually speak my mind but this time I just held it in. I have run into people who park on the ramp while getting ready to launch but have never run into someone who launches and then just sites there.

Fished yesterday with a couple friends, on the water at 6:30am was eating breakfast at oak cove at 9:30am
3 man limit of sandies, handful of keeper hybrids. Catch and release trip. Boated numerous short hybrids. 20-32 FOW. Didn’t have to move more than a 50 yards, after the first stop. I grew up fishing this lake, been gone for years, I am now back as of a few weeks ago living on the lake. Will keep posting reports frequently
