With the heat and no rain I bet it is pretty low. Are the prize boats the same as always or did they get a knock down? I can't remember. Still a heck of a prize to win

LA is always good for a few tropicals and a CAT 3 from August-October, the Red will come up

Love the Red, never catch squat there but I love the place! Dont have to fight wind or any of that stuff.

Really enjoyed the river last time. Looking forward to it again. Even though the fishing is not the best.

With fuel prices so high, probably a good decision on their part. Shreveport bossier steps up compared to any other place they go

Shreveport/Bossier City showed up good for the Crappie Expo! I like the RR! Ouachita River is my nemesis! Get another crack or 2 at it this year! thumb

We suck at river fishing so won't be going this time but I don't understand why people have such an issue with it. It's a good business decision for Chad and Jeff for various reasons and plenty of people like to fish the Red and will show up for the fun as well. No other place offers the gambling, good food and big facility to have this event other than maybe Texoma and clearly that didn't happen this year. I was truly hoping Ivie would become the championship venue for a few years but that was killed when it became a regular season event.

These guys have to go to the places that are in their best interest...its the same exact thing every trail does....BASS, FLW, MLF, etc, etc. They go where they get the best bang for the buck and I can tell you that bang doesn't come from the entry fees since their paybacks average about 100% across all of their events.

It will be a great event put on by the best crew in Texas! Always a pleasure fishing Bass Champs events no matter where they are.

I agree, they run a heck of a business and have to make the championship decision based on that! Plenty of people will still show up!
