I've done that for years but never liked them not being secured while in the back seat. The comment about theft is a real one, but what thief is going to see three graphs worth thousand's of dollars laying loose in the back seat and not go for those anyway? I just like the idea of safely putting them into the case while on the deck of the boat....safely carrying them back to the truck without dropping them.....safely carrying them back into the house without dropping them...... Don't know if I taught you anything.....but that is my reasoning......lol.

I just put the screen protector on my Garmin's and put them in a drawer at the house..

I had previously bought cases from Carlos Rivera (spelling?) but after he shut down his business I bought one of these which I like. Not cheap but well made and provides pretty good protection. I leave them on all the time except when fishing. Graph Cover
