I recently moved and these vermin are driving me crazy! They know when it's trash day and sit there waiting for me to put out the trash at 5:30 in the morning. Back in the day Burleson would loan you a live trap and when you caught Mr. Whiskers you hauled them to animal control for a night night shot. Now all these cities around the metro mess have adopted a spay, neuter and release program SMDH. Just release them back where they caught them. Any kind of firearm isn't an option and I need another option for silent death!

Try spraying the outside of the trash bag with ammonia or Windex (which contains ammonia). They won't bother it.

I can call the city to come trap cats here, and then they take them to the "Cat House" to be spayed, neutered, and given all their shots. Or, I can trap them, take them to the "Cat House" and pay them $85 for the same services! Or I can trap them and take them for a ride out in the country down the road of no return.

I had a fixed cat that the males still hounded. I'd find paw prints on my car and listen to all the howlings throughout the night. My dog did well keeping them at bay in the back yard but couldn't do anything with the front. I tried moth balls and stuff. Nothing. Then our cat disappeared. She survived Harvey, but one day she didn't come home. Problem solved. No more cats. To fix the problem, get rid of the problem cat. Tuna in a coon live trap will work. Then haul them wherever you want.

Not their fault they're homeless. Feed them.

Coyotes around here took care of any stray/outdoor cats we had. Neighbor was feeding a big tabby on his front porch. One night he heard a sceam and there was blood all over the porch. He grabbed his bow and chased the yote through the neighborhood. Unfortunately they also got a few dogs. They drove my dog crazy during breeding season in February.

20 or 410 gauge will work. If you prefer stealth, .177 and some compressed air will work.

Feral cats are a PITA. We have trapped 4 and have taken them to a free spay and neuter place to get them to stop repopulating. Irresponsible neighbors. Once fixed, they clip their ears so you can trap new ones. It’s like a modern day fur trade. I caught one once. It was mad as hell. I must admit, I sprayed it with the water hose while it was trapped. I’m generally kind to all animals, but that one rubbed me wrong. roflmao

I wasn't looking for a pet when this feral showed up... crying in a tree, couldn't get down. I got it down and it was thankful...picture above was taken just after it was on ground. Wouldn't let go of me.. had a billion fleas. Best decision I ever made on keeping it and getting it fixed. Now 8 or 9 years old.

Thinks its part raccoon and sticks its paw in water to drink.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

you've heard of crazy cat ladies ? well we had the crazy cat man . He was feeding approx 20+ feral cats two houses down from me . He was full on crazy . Had a ton of spots he was doing this all over the city .
He built various contraptions to trap them to get them fixed . He was usually wearing a thong , no shoes and make up when he came to our cul-de sac to feed them .
He eventually got them down to just two left alive in my area . He started this about 15 years ago .
