What’s y’all’s opinion on using 2” steel schedule 40 pipe . Hell of a lot cheaper than 2 3/8” . Going to hang chain link fence on it .

Are you talking about PVC? If it isn't UV stabilized it will deteriorate pretty quickly in the sun.

Are you talking about 1-1/2” pipe instead of 2”? 2” pipe O.D. is actually 2-3/8”, 1-1/2” pipe O.D. is 1-7/8”. Not sure which one you are asking about using.

Should be fine. Wind would blow it over if it was a wood fence.

Chain link isn't much security for peeing off the porch. Unless it is electrified.

Pipe/carbon steel tubing has doubled in price over the last 18 months.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

Chain link isn't much security for peeing off the porch. Unless it is electrified. Can't afford an electrified fence with the new rates for electricity
