Anyone know where to purchase live finger mullet in the port a area? Tried two bait shops in town but they didn’t have any. I have a cast net to throw in the surf but wanted a backup just in case. Thank you!

Take the net and run south of town to fish pass on right side of highway.

I was going to suggest looking for a marshy pool or tide pond off the beach. Anywhere there is a little bridge going over a tide channel is likely to hold bait. You'll find mullet, shrimp, croaker, perch, even a crab or two.

Looking on google maps, that appears to be a prime spot Dothead mentioned.

I would try Port A Outfitters or Woody’s. Live mullet are hard to find, but many places carry croaker.
