Hi all. I bought a NEW Tempest Plus from one of the best prop shops around. Had GREAT performance the first 3 hole shots then started blowing the vent plugs. I have replaced all 3 plugs the last 4 trips. Just installed 3 more new mid size plugs. After moving to my 4th spot she blows out getting up on plane. Got back on trailer. All 3 new plugs gone again. Anyone else have problems l? Made sure they where in good by driving in with a piece of round wood and rubbe4 mallet. Hate to drag the boat over 300 miles to the prop sho0 Help THANKS
Best todate 12.03 Clyde Lake. 1995 Elite 202 Champion still floating.

Assuming you’re buying merc’s pvs plugs, something is wrong. They have a locking ring that snaps them into place, mine are next to impossible to remove without destroying them. Maybe you’re putting them in too well?

got to be sure to get the small lip on the back side in where it needs to be, heat them in hot water for a couple of mins. then install while they are sorta soft.
