Willows are the best bass cover as far as trees
Go
Imagine willows trees on the shallow flat points
Around the points of little Caney creek
Imagine willows trees on Dale creek point, peninsula’
Willows again the the back of glade would be magic
If willows bring fish anything like they did in glade creek
Lake Fork would bloom just like ivie did
Willows are easy to plant and and grow fast
If started now they would have time to grow before water comes up
Would be best to plant them where when the water comes up they would be in two foot of water
Face the facts hydrilla is not going to be around for a long long time
If just a few people could plant 5-10 willows we could
Bring the lake to a new future

If I lived on Fork...I'd be doing just that. Along with placing some strategic boulders, cinder blocks, etc... There are docks out there that look like a fort of cedar has been built, some of it is truly impressive

There are docks out there that look like a fort of cedar has been built, some of it is truly impressive I will never forget the one they showed live for a bit during the BASS tourney out there. It was CRAZY. Wall of upside cedars 6 deep.

If I lived near there and fished it much I would have some pretty detailed maps and notes by now

Back in the 80’s. One of the best lakes in Texas was Lake Corpus Christi. It was stacked with Willows. But then the home owners with water front property declared war on willow trees. Blocked there view and got in the way of beaching their boats.
I caught a lot of fish on Falcon in the 80’s on humps with Willows. Fish love Willows and they don’t effect the PH balance of the water from what little I know.

I have fond memories of Fork in the 90's and watching bass chasing shad through the willows and you could see them shaking when the bass would go through them. It was a blast throwing a Spinnerbait through them because they would crash it coming through.

I grew up on Grand Lake in Ok when the willows would flood in the spring man it was a blast to fish.

The willows in Dale up around the Island made for fantastic frog fishing, I still refer to this as frog island.
