Got on the water at daybreak here on Bridgeport. There was 0% chance of rain when I checked last night and before I launched. Currently riding out a pretty nasty storm tied up in a boat dock. Heavy rain and tons of lightning for past hour......

it is dry as can be here where I am at Mark, think their forecast was spot on. Nice cool breeze and the sun is shining.

Maybe you will be rewarded with lots of big fish once the storms move on. Send them down our way, we need the rain

I think it's moving away from yall Steve. It's about to break up I think. This cool weather is nice though. It seems to have shut the bite down. It has been really, really good out here the past few weeks. It's been slow today.

Granbury will take that rain if you can send it down..

When I saw the radar on my app it was sitting over the Palo Pinto fire. Prayed that was accurate. We all need some they REALLY NEEDED some. Retired Firefighter

Trust me I love the rain, this time of year I even enjoy fishing in it. It's the lightning I dislike. I would have stayed closer to ramp had I known it was gonna hit.

Yeah, lightning scares the jeepers out of me as well. Have had a few scares with it and don't want to relive those days. I'm glad you're safe and somewhat sheltered.

Nothing shuts a bite down faster than lightening. I've seen overnight lightening completely shut down shad spawn MANY times

Please slap the rain storm and send it over towards Longview.

Why Weathermen can be wrong...
Tiny changes or errors in the initial assumptions about the atmosphere's many attributes (temperature, wind speed and direction, humidity and cloudiness) can quickly grow as each step in the forecast carries those errors forward and magnifies them.

After tge storm Bridgeport was still tough. Had a lot of little fish and mostly spots. Weird because it had been fishing so good for me prior to today.
Loaded up at 1:00 and ran to Lost Creek/Lake Jacksboro. The frog bite there was pretty dang good. Fished till dark. Fun day. Caught keepers on 3 different lakes today.
