Going to book a guide on Granger, what month is the best for crappie? Will be a day morning/day trip, can't go at night.

Summer months are pretty much all the same in Texas,..watching the weather for fronts and storms is all ya have to be careful of. Most guides prefer weekdays to avoid all the traffic on the lake. Go have fun,...

I can catch them year round! That said July and August are hot and the fish are sluggish! Those are my least 2 favorite months to fish! October and Nov are usually pretty good!

May and June are my favorite. Summer months are good too, just have to downsize baits, and a good guide will know where and how to catch them. February/March are probably the worst times in my opinion.

I've got to go with November. The fish are cooperative generally and the weather is ideal.

Any month both the water and ambient temp are below 80. Pretty much goes for any fish, for me.

I prefer the winter months, it don't have anything to do with the bite as they bite year round with some adjustments but because during the winter you won't have to worry about wake boats and jet fleas.....

in central texas july and august is fabulous... if u can take the heat.
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !
