The hill country creeks, smaller rivers in the hill country, and several ponds I fish, need lots of rain! Hope we get a little relief Tuesday and Wednesday! banana (The rain dance).

Every where is looking sad 😔. Even Amistad, the last time we were there more islands had popped up. Very dangerous.

Zoom in! I'm sure it's sticking out more since we've been there.

Hill Country creeks are holding up, but need a lot of RAIN. Several hill country rivers I fish are holding up also. They need a lot of RAIN . Creeks I fish in southcentral Texas are dry in places and it is a long walk to the deeper parts. To sum it all up. We need a lot of RAIN. banana banana (The famous Rain Dance).

Some of my spots on the Medina River are completely dry. A lot of my places on south Texas creeks are bone dry. Most of the small rivers I fish are in very bad shape. It is going to take a hurricane to improve the water bodies. realmad

Side Note: On the bright side, the places I have been getting good numbers and quality fish are hanging in there. They all could use a lot of RAIN! banana banana banana banana banana (Raindance X5).

Lake Athens is between 3 and 4 feet down and the water is very warm. Hit it 4 times last week and did the worst I have ever done there. Going to be hitting Meredith in the next couple of days.

Athens is a little low but less than a foot (was out there last week as well, water temp was 88-90 degrees).

I fish Athens a lot, have called Athens home for a lot of years and it is a lot more than a foot low. One of the boat houses I fish a lot normally has about 6 inches of space from the water to the boards and I use a bow and arrow cast to pitch worms under it for slabs. This week there is close to 3 feet of space.

While driving I have seen several ponds that have gone completely dry. I have also seen plenty of creek crossings that are dry as well. Just about every major water body in central, south central, hill country, and south Texas is low. We need RAIN.
