So are there public accessible launches at Medina that do not require 4WD? Normally I launch at Red's but when the lake is this low they usually do not allow 2WD trucks. Is the County Park ramp usable?
I have a 19' boat with a standard trailer.
Thanks in advance

As of 3/31/22 the county park was allowing launching from a small peninsula. On that day the lake was at 22% full.
The approach is rocky but if you take it slow and easy should be no problem with 2 wheel drive.
From the shore at the improvised "ramp" it is a gradual drop and in my experience it is actually better than the concrete ramp under normal conditions as the concrete ramp is not steep enough.
Might be advisable to call the county commissioner for that park before driving too far. Key word search Medina Lake Park Bandera County.

Red's is about impossible when I looked at it this wknd. There is about a 15 inch drop off the concrete. Then a sharp turn right with a very steep drop to the water. I saw 6 trailers there w/ all being 4X4. I live about 5 min from County Park ramp.
I haven't been down to County Park since the week before Easter. I have a double axle trailer and 4X4....but not worth putting it in. I almost got stuck on a rock with the trailer about a month ago. Took almost 10 min to get off the rock at the launch.

Launching at Reds is definitely doable, and will remain so for a while. The owners are marking the "lane" to back your boat in with, just can't be afraid to knock the rust off your 4-wheel drive, as it is definitely required to launch there... It looks intimidating, but it's really not that bad. I've been dropping my 21' glass boat in there almost daily with my Ram 1500... E-Z P-Z.

Follow up report...

So when I checked last week the concrete at Red's goes all of the way down to the waterline and then the ramp changes to gravel under the water. The drop off is steep so it MIGHT be possible to keep the truck on the concrete, but the trailer tires will be in the gravel for sure. For 2WD trucks wide tires on the trailer and/or on the truck might be a good idea just in case, or letting air out of the tires, an extended hitch, etc.

I have not discussed any of this with Red's on their policies so I do not know if they are stopping non 4x4s or not. There were 8-10 trailers parked at the ramp when I was there so people are launching.

I also checked out the County park. Basically there is no concrete where the water level is at but according to the park personnel they have had 2WD trucks launching there. The road from the end of the concrete down to the water is rough so personally I would much prefer to launch at Red's.

Launching at Reds is ok as of yesterday 6/25 and yes it is steep so 4 wheel drive is important.
