I think I've watched all the YouTube fishing videos I can handle. Gonna buy a fishing license and wet a line for the first time in TX. Planning to launch from Louis' Bait Shop around 6am if anyone wants to join I fish from a yellow Hobie Outback. I'll be the one that looks like I have no idea what I'm doing.

I launched my kayak from the boat ramp and a fellow kayaker let me know I wasn't supposed to do that. I got stuck in the mud past the railroad bridge. I caught zero fish. Other than that, it was great to finally be back on the water after relocating. 85.5F water temperature! Never seen that before in my life.
It seemed like everyone but me was using live shrimp for bait. I guess I need to look into some type of bait holding device. Lots of crab traps out there too. I definitely want to get a couple of those.
$6 to launch and park at Louis' Bait Shop. They sell live shrimp, but accept cash only.

Dave

You need to get in contact with my son at Bite and Fight Angler. He fishes there a lot. His name is Justin, and he lives in Alvin. He can put you on fish, and he can hook you up with some great baits. He is on FB, Instagram, YouTube, and all of the social media places.

I promise you that he can help you catch fish. It truly is his passion.

Tell him his Pops sent you.

JR

At least you made out on the water. Keep fishing and good things will happen! thumb
