I'm up in Vail this week with some co-workers and we did a river trip yesterday that included some class 3 and 4 rapids. I was ejected from the raft (something that I didn't think would happen to me) and was carried down the river a ways, hitting several rocks along the way. Luckily it was in a spot that wasn't too bad, but damn I'm sore today.
I'm glad I got to check that experience off the list, but I don't think I'll do it again.
On a more positive note, the weather is incredible up here right now.

I miss working summers up there. Saw it was 31 degrees in Leadville this morning.

Get well soon. We were in Colorado for a softball tournament several years ago and one of the players dad broke a leg when he fell out of a raft like that. Most of us were joking that he did it on purpose so he didn’t have to go to any of the softball games

Love rafting CO, last summer a boat dumped and we were all trying to get them out of the water. I never saw a look of fear like I did that day, older folks complete panicked and wouldn’t listen or grab for my ore. Then as a lady makes it toward shore she stands up, leg catches and breaks. Never try and stand.

I was impressed with the way one of my co-workers got my fat azz back in the boat. He grabbed my vest, fell backwards and up I came. Landed right on top of him. I'm sure glad he listened to the safety instructions.
