 Suggestions for a quick trip?

Hello!
I'm planning on doing a trip with my 7yr old daughter in early August timeframe. I know this is a TX forum, but thinking about Louisiana but also considering Corpus.
Anyone have any good suggestions for a guide? Or other thoughts on potential locations? I have an airline credit so would look to fly which opens it up a little (just not looking to go to like Michigan or Charleston for example).

For a 7 year old, I'd go to Harlingen and then South Padre. Fishing is outstanding, and there's a great beach and plenty of things to keep a kid entertained.
Captain Andrew makes posts here, look him up and get scheduled.
