Oldest son came home from college last week. I told the family that I didn't need to do anything special, so we just had a low-key day at the house. Nope. A Mercury 300R did not show up on my boat. damn, you too? I had the same problem and I don't even have kids.

Wife and I got into it pretty good argument Friday evening and haven't spoken since. Got the girls all to myself Sunday which was fantastic!!! Wife made dinner and took hers to the bedroom while the rest of us hung out. Got a dozen roses, 3 cards and a 12" Dewalt miter saw.
About something stupid? That's our m.o.

I got to video chat with my son in Allen and see my two granddaughters, to to see his twin brother and my granddaughter that lives in Longview but my grandson was sleeping. My daughter and her husband came over and he helped me finish picking green beans, weeding them and then we dug up about 1/4 of the potatoes. Wide and daughter brought lunch home from Jasons Deli so I didn't have to cook.
SIL and I worked on his daily driver and fixed some oil leaks and changed out a few sensors that the code reader said were bad. It was hot in the shop, but we had several fans going. Got a few gifts, but the time spent with the kids is the best gift there is.

I didn't want anything really, altho my SIL's family got me one of those Portable Buddy Propane Heaters I can use deer hunting. That was nice of them.

I didn't want anything, but received a bottle of whiskey and some whiskey glasses, a bartender kit thing, and a card from my daughter, spent the day in the pool and grilled some grub, didn't hear a word from my son's but not surprised.

My wife was out of town. Left me a Duluth T-shirt. Got a call from my daughter and grandsons. I did cook myself a Nolan Ryan Angus strip steak, some shrimp and made a salad for dinner and that was very good!
