14 year CPAP user here. Nasal pillows since day one. No humidifier, no heat, no ramp, put it on, lights out. 51 years old, never wake up at night, hardly ever get up to pee, maybe once a month.

For nose sores, I use saline gel. Sometimes I use carmex, it’s a great medicated lubricant for the nose.

I go full face and love every bit of it. If I try the nose pillows, I end up opening my mouth and end up trying to suck my dried ou tongue back into my mouth.

Almost identical to Emit here.

For some there is a surgery to remove a flappy thingy at the back of the mouth/sinus cavity that helps. It's not for everyone or every case.

May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

This a pretty good article on who the surgery is for/would help. https://www.sleephealthfoundation.org.au/surgery-for-obstructive-sleep-apnoea-osa.html

But rather skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy carp what a ride!"

That was part of it and correcting a deviated septum did the trick for me

Wow, never heard of that. Hopefully that's an easy repair job and quick recovery.

"A deviated septum constricts at least one side of the nose, keeping air from flowing freely.

Causes of a Deviated Septum
Some people are born with a deviated septum. Sometimes this problem develops in the womb, but it can also result from an injury during the birth process.

Injuries to the nose can also cause a deviated septum. Common sources of such trauma include car accidents, sports injuries, and hits to the face during fights. Even if the nose doesn’t break, a deviated septum can still occur.

Symptoms of a Deviated Septum
When the nasal septum becomes crooked, it can restrict the airflow through one or both sides of the nose. This blockage is often constant because it isn’t caused by allergies or a cold, but a physical obstruction.

A nasal blockage, especially on both sides of the nose, forces you to breathe through your mouth. This mouth breathing can cause a dry mouth. Your nose may dry out as well, leading to frequent nosebleeds.

The obstruction to your breathing can also cause snoring as well as difficulty sleeping. If you also have sleep apnea, your snoring may be severe, and you may have trouble using your CPAP machine.

Other symptoms of a deviated septum can include headaches, facial pain and frequent sinus infections"........Being I had physical job my recovery was about 3 weeks before being able to return to work
