Just got a 100 gallon fuel cell / toolbox combo. In the instructions for the install kit for the gravity flow, it mentions to cut the vehicle fuel tank vent hose and rout it to the height of the aux tank just below the bed. The vent hose already runs as high as the truck bed but it runs to the top of the fuel neck where you put fuel into the tank.
Has anyone here ever messed with the vent hose when installing one of these gravity flow kits? I don't why cutting the vent hose would be needed.

Ya, that initial fill up is going to be $500+.
I spent my weekend in San Marcos. From Boerne to San Marcos, I seen diesel prices from $5.07 to $5.59. In Kerrville, the price right now (today) is $4.99. So if my choices are $4.99 or $5.59, I'll take $4.99 and as much as I can carry until the next time I need it.

I love my auxiliary tank. Use the Gas Buddy app to find the best price and filler up. It’ll pay for itself quickly.

The app is updated by the users. So it is usually spot on. As of right now there is a $0.60 spread between the high and low diesel prices in San Antonio. It’s worth it to check.

I use Gas Buddy all the time and save $5 - $10 on each fill-up using the deal alerts. I also use RaceTrac rewards with it to get the price down. Sometimes I can also use Upside to triple dip on savings......
