I just took my daughter down to the lake to let her drive my bug and that all went well. I got back home and we came in and ate lunch and I went back outside to put it up. I forgot to lower the power poles before I backed it in the shop and bent the starboard bracket enough that it gouged out a spot in the transom sponson. I got it bent back out enough that it looks OK totally retracted but there is about a 5 inch difference in the height when they are about 50% deployed. I just wondered if any of you have fought this battle and what you did to correct it.

Sounds like a insurance claim to me.

If everything works good I would roll with it

Mine just knocked the garage door off the track and bent the door extension (inside only).

Matter of time before I forget to deploy mine before pulling out or in my garage. Left pole clears by about an inch. Right one has an anchor light on it and it sticks up a few inches.

This is my second round, the first time I didn't damage anything. New bracket $180+ tax and shipping.

Two things all of you guys can be thankful for. You are able to put your boat in the garage and powerpole has the best customer service on the planet...so half full.

Ouch! Reminds me of the time I forgot to lower my motor while backing into the garage. Lower unit went right through the utility room door.

Both brackets slightly bent, funny looking at poles from the side as one is slightly bent forward and one is slightly back, deep gouges in top of both which probably means rust in my near future, and a deformed garage door...all from forgetting to lower poles going into and out of garage. Knocked a cover plate off the garage door opener too. Everything still works great though.
