Todd took us out at 7 AM in his boat, and we headed to the south end to try and find surface schooling fish. After two hours of looking and working some structure as we headed back northward, we had caught only one fish. We finally found fish at GPS, and in a little less than 3 hours we had caught 183 white bass. Then Todd took us to Anchor Point, Three Fingers, and Cloud Point and by 2:30 PM our count was up to 340 white bass. We went back to GPS for the last hour and 15 minutes and ended with 466 white bass. About a 3rd were magnum size. We also caught 11 keeper yellow bass, a short hybrid, and a 16-inch black bass for a total of 479 fish, which is the largest number of fish I've ever been a part of catching in a boat on one outing.

All of us are Mepps spinner users, and we caught most on Mepps #4 and quite a few on Mepps #2. Todd would locate fish on side-can and sonar and park us right on top of them. We probably caught as many straight down on the bottom as casting out and working the Mepps back to the boat on the bottom. We caught fish ranging in depths from 10 fow to 20 fow. The fish were plentiful and very cooperative so the catching amongst the 4 Meppsters were pretty even and almost every cast. Now whenever the fish got finicky was when DC outcatch, outshined everyone in the boat, by a wide mile. I've seen that movie many times

Also it got really hot and I had to jump in to cool off. My boat got a step ladder and I offered to DC a few times but DC refused?

SeaPro, you are a comedian! The one time I was fortunate to fish with Dennis, he outfished us 5 to 1 all day so don't feel too bad.
