Even on a thread like this you just can't help being stupid. How sad it must be to go through life being you.

Her credit score needs to look better than she does.
If you need to help the first place to look is at the end of our own damn arm.
People will go places with a hard one they won’t go with a loaded gun.
If they divided all the money in the world equally the same people would have it back in 6 months. Take care of your money.
Don’t work for what your worth you can’t afford to live on it, you have to get more than that. .

My dad is 85. He is losing his cognitive ability some. He had maybe a 8th grade education. Grew up dairy farming. He always said “Lincoln never ended slavery, there still is dairy farming”.He grew up poor with a very abusive father. He had more common sense and ability than a lot of educated people. Try to see him as much as I can. Extremely fortunate to had a great dad and mom. It took me years to understand just how great they were for us kids. Hearing the stories lately from my parents I realize that at times we struggled and were poor. I never realized that growing up. My parents worked hard and always did things with us. They best things we did such as camping didn’t cost much. Times you can remember forever.

He would then follow that statement with something like..."don't get smart, you don't know how" or "You aint got the brains God gave you"

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

A couple of quickies from the paternal side.
My dad was a serious high stakes golf hustler. Serious High Stakes.

1967, 9 Years old, caddied for him all day at Memorial Park in Houston, Dad and some dude named "Runt" Played Tommy Bolt and Homero Blancas. 36 holes of two high profile pros that got skinned alive. I do remember it was a whole lot more money than I've ever seen in my life, something in the range of $3,800, which would buy a dang nice car back then. The pros were pissed, and kept pressing when they should have lost four hundred and headed home. There were many more, that one was the most memorable.

Great uncle, Grandmothers brother was a captain in the Texas Rangers, crusty old dude was an understatement. He taught all of us kids how to handle ourselves in tight situations, how to shoot, and how to shoot under intense pressure. His wisdom was the rule of three. Three yards, three rounds three seconds. If you're prepared for the rule of three, you are prepared. The only one of us that actually had to use his wisdom was a girl cousin who removed the face from a feral who tried to car jack her. Really really bad decision.

That would surely make for an interesting ER visit. Please do NOT post photos of the resulting injury!
