I recently purchased a ranger rt-188 and it has a min lotta terrova trolling motor. I like some of the options but just can’t get used to the electronic feel.

I have lowrance electronics but I am not brand loyal.

Is there anywhere a guy could try the ultrex, ghost, force or pro tour? That kind of investment you’d like to try one out.

Thanks in advance!

Remote control or foot pedal? If you have I-pilot give it time to grow on you........and I assure you it will.If you have co-pilot step up to i-pilot,you'll be glad you did

That being said I'd think standing at the boat dock with $20 bills might buy you few rides with different trolling motors.Of course make sure they understand exactly what you're negotiating for, embarrassing moments 300 yards offshore could lead to a long swim.
