I used to fish there a lot. Even kept my 5th wheel in the rv park next to loading ramps. TPWD site show no hybrid striper stockings since 2009. A friend owns the rv park and tells me he catches a few when he fishes. Could tpwd data be wrong?

They kept stocking hybrids from '14 through '17. They're just listed as sunshine bass instead of palmetto on the stocking history. None since '17 though, so the ones that are in there should be big. I haven't fished Coleman in 25+ years, so not much help.

Ok thanks. It’s only 15 mile from my house. Think I’ll go try it. At least even in high wind the lake doesn’t get too rough.

I had pretty good luck a few years ago. But around this time it seemed like the fish pulled off structure and couldn't consistently find them starting in July. I wasn't very impressed with the size of the fish though. Tons of 2-4 pounders and nothing really bigger than that during my outings. Maybe they are bigger now. Likely areas were the cove west of the boat ramp and the structure in the upper half of the lake where the trees start and extend off the southern bank. That was actually one of the best under water structures to fish, especially the eastern drop off and northern drop off. Watch out for submerged trees when driving around in that area....good way to mess up a boat/motor.
