Saw that today and fairly well stocked with some Lews, Falcons, Shimano, Garcia and other brands.
Includes on-line too with even more options.

If others are like the one in Amarillo . It's because they over bought. They have rods and combos stacked every where.
here they have some at 50% off

The fishing sections for the West Fort Worth and Burleson stores are horrible. I usually only shop for baits at Academy and it seems like they have less and less each time I go. It's like fishing is just an after-thought for them.

here they have some at 50% off You sure you're talking about Academy? The fishing sections for the West Fort Worth and Burleson stores are horrible. I usually only shop for baits at Academy and it seems like they have less and less each time I go. It's like fishing is just an after-thought for them. Yeah now that sounds more normal. Overstock at Academy? I wish they just had stock. I haven't seen a Shimano SLX in 3 months at my two local Academy stores
I can backlash toilet paper.

There was a time I purchased almost all of my fishing stuff from Academy. I don't even walk in that store anymore. It's a waste of time. If you are needing 10 fishing items you will be lucky most days to find one. Even their online selection is terrible.

Academy is the shizzle-Online orders usually only take 2-3 days tops to my residence. Supply chain issues haven’t gone away yet. I keep hearing that fishing line is really going to be hard to get soon. They add all sorts of fishing products daily online.

The Texarkana store would sell quite a few Falcon Experts or Cara's if they were being carried, but only the BuCoo rods here.

Every Academy I walk into has 3 or 4 people looking at fishing gear, the other 99.5% are shopping in the other sections, it is an after thought, they turned themselves into a clothing store.
