I know we have people on the board in the auto sales industry. Should I wait to buy a truck and hope prices go down? But as price goes down, interest rate goes up. Appreciate any insider info. My current tow vehicle is rapidly declining and it looks like I will be in need of a new(er) truck. Love the 21' and 22' Chevy, RAM and Fords. They all look great, have good reviews and it's so hard to choose. I really like this truck: Ram 1500 Night Edition![[Linked Image]](https://pictures.dealer.com/a/americanautobrokers/0401/e8d34a6189d9b1288b4270a742976423x.jpg)

To each their own. I am wanting a 3500 Ram but I refuse to pay sticker or sticker plus. I don't have to have it immediately thankfully and am willing to wait and see what happens when Brandon is gone.

Gander--I hear ya! Have already seen the price on a few new trucks go down $2K this month. I have held out because I just ain't gonna pay what they are asking. How some people can afford these trucks I just don't know.

Market will crash. Give it 6-12 months and my guess is you'll save at least $10k

Only disclaimer is if we continue to move towards a society where more and more people don't work. If labor continues to be hard to come by, companies will move towards lower volume and higher profit per unit. And if they do that, then you may be right that the old way of buying is gone.

I’d buy a new truck if one three things happened. Yours no longer is repairable. You want a new truck. You can afford to pay what it costs.
It really is simple. If one of these is true, looks like you’re truck shopping. Waiting for things to align may or may not ever happen.
I see new trucks on the road every day. I could t imagine the stress of being strapped for $800+ payments for 10 years. Hahaha. All I can think is what a piss poor investment a new truck is right now. But that’s me. I’m kinda a tight wad.

Dropped my 2012 Expedition at the Ford dealer this morning and there must hav been 25 others dropping a vehicle. Asked the service advisor what,s up. His response was with the high prices and economy, folks are holding on to their existing rides.

Yes people are holding on to things longer, the added issue is a lot of the parts (especially the genuine parts) are on back order right now. Very strange times. Nothing wrong with holding on to a vehicle, but it’s a problem when parts might be 4-6 months out.

I am wanting to buy but I am hard headed and WILL NOT pay sticker or over..I have bought 3 vehicles over the last 11 years and none have been financed. I will make payments to myself until I can buy. That said for now will wait

If you have a trade then in most cases the price difference between the two isn't much different then when things were normal. Now if you're looking to buy without a trade be prepared to shed a few tears.
