I take pops to Athens every year for Father's day. Haven't been on the lake since last Father's day and it didn't disappoint. Fished from 6am to 2pm. We put 56 bass in the boat and 15 giant sandbass. Stayed deep the entire day. Started early on a point and sat there for almost 2hrs catching them on big worms. Biggest fish of the day was 5lbs. But almost all the fish were 2-4 lbs. Later in the day we found them on a flat in 16ft of water running around with the sandies chasing big schools of shad. We would follow them with the livescope and wore em out on 6xds. Hardly saw any surface action which is usually how we catch them this time of year. Still a great day to send my pops home sore from setting the hook.
