I know it allows me to fish all night and not worry about being out in the day...not sure about bass.

I’ve always thought that with a full moon you have increased bug and baitfish activity during the warmer months. And that promotes more fish chasing after dark. I know that has nothing to do with high tide activity or more gravitational pull but it makes sense to me. Maybe someone here will have a more scientific answer!

You will get a bunch of different answers but post spawn I think it means that they feed at night. From what I have heard, the week before the full moon is the better time to fish than the week of the full moon. I don't have any real data to back that up, just sharing.

As many times as I spent the entire night on the boat, i have to agree. I had lots of great night trips but rarely on the full moon. With the LED deck lights of today, I would now spend all summer night fishing and pay no regard to moon phase

It makes the night fishing better in the summer, never tried fishing at night during a full moon in the other seasons but have noticed full moon during day seems to make fishing tougher more often than not. Makes deer hunting suck too.

It makes sense that a full moon would allow for bass to have more opportunities to feed at night however if the increased light creates more activity then it should also mean that cloud cover on those nights matter also?

While I believe in the Solunar tables, the best aspect of the full moon is that it provides you more light to navigate at night and fish in a more comfortable environment.

I have fished lots of years at night in this Texas summer heat. Pertaining to RayBob, I can say that lake produces much, much better during new moon. If you fish during new moon, just make sure that you are very familiar with the area that you're fishing. It gets really dark during new moon. We've had some unbelievable trips up there at night. All you need is 10" power worms (tequila sunrise, blue fleck, red shad) and that is it.

Just be thankful you aren't a musky fisherman who also has to worry about moon rise, moon set, moon overhead, and moon under taint. None of it matters in my opinion. In the summer their metabolic rate is sky high and the fish have to eat multiple times a day including at night.

I dont fish at night, I think about it none because I'm gonna go fishing on the days I have a chance to. I'm gonna fish from daylight till 3 or 4 so it doesn't really matter to me. Kinda like barometer or wind direction. It is what it is. I'm not gonna let the solar/lunar table determine whether I go or not.

I don’t let It determine whether I go or not either. I go when I can and when I want lol. And I’ve never paid attention to that stuff before either.
I was just curious if It changes the way you do fish that day if It happens to be arrive a full moon, mainly because I have a tournament this Wednesday and Thursday
