best spot to get my dad to catch some fish at Lake Lewisville? he never has much luck

Since we're sharing...

LVille has been hit / miss with me so please take this advice with that disclaimer. roflmao

I have found that lake likes to see the fish focused on the points with rock / trees / cover on it. I would suggest starting near the old dam and working that rip rap to the openings, then find your towards the back side of it and fish near the marina(s).

Hopefully, this helps you stumble into a few.

PS: sqaurebills, med divers, and chatterbaits have been my go to recently on LVille.

Can't go wrong with the dam. It's a boring way to fish but it's got plenty of fish on it and you have easy access to both shallow and deep water depending on where they're holding. Squarebill in 1-5ft before sun comes up and after sun comes up back off and swim/hop a finesse jig in brown/orange/green in 12-15ft of water. Be sure to just tick the tops of the rocks or you'll lose plenty of baits. Finesse jig is lighter which makes it slightly easier to keep out of the rocks.

Caught my personal best out there 2 days ago. It was over 10 lbs. The lake can be great. Good luck to you and your dad.
