What scale do you have on board that you find to be fairly accurate? Anyone using Rapala High-Contrast 50lb Digital?

I see the pro's using this a lot to cull with.

I have one of the Brecknell scales like they use on MLF. However, it's better / easier to use if there are two people. If I got another scale it would try the Rapala Tournament scale.

I have the Rapala High contrast scale and like it. Seems accurate but can't say I calibrate it against anything but seems like the results are ok. Just make sure you know how to use the scale. The power button turns it on and resets and turns it off from the same button. I saw some people had trouble using it because they weren't holding the button to turn it on/off.[Linked Image]

I have the rapala high contrast scale and a few other touchscreens.

In my opinion the below scale is the most accurate and best they have come up with. I recently put it up to a sharelunker certified scale and it was spot on. The above scale was off buy nearly half pound.

Who needs a scale when you have marinas to cart your fish to...

I've used the 15lb tournament touch screen Rapala for two years now. Has proven very accurate to tournament weigh-in scales so far. Only trouble I've had is my fat fingers have a hard time resetting bins at the corners of the screen when culling. I have to keep the little instructions tab on the bag it comes in to remember the sequence and button combos to hit to make it do what I need.

The linked scale is hard to beat. DO NOT buy that high contrast one in the pic above. That thing is probably the biggest piece of junk out there. I bought two and neither one made it past the second outing and both were off by 6-8 ounces.

I have the Rapala high contrast, mines a POS. The thing is pretty accurate against tournament scales that I’ve compared it too, but mine won’t stay on long enough to weigh the fish. I have to beat on it constantly and it’ll finally stay on long enough to get the weight. (Yes, I’ve replaced the batteries multiple times hoping that was the problem.)

I won another one at a tournament for a door prize and sure do hope it works better than mine. Not sure I’d ever buy another one.

I have this Rapala touch model. I’m pretty sure it’s defective as is always stops at around the 9.5 lb range, never any higher! bang

I use that one on my boat. I have a Pro Tournament Scales 357 and it’s usually within a couple ounces at 15-20 pound bags. From fish to fish, for culling, it’s worth it’s weight in gold.

I've recently purchased a new Rapala... to replace the one that won't weigh anything over 5 lbs... on the positive side, nothing weighs less than 3.5 lbs. cheers
