Have not seen any fish kill downlake. Fishing downlake is excellent right now.

Yes, peanut area as well. Shad dying and floating on surface. I'm curious and worried as to what is going on.

If its just shad it could be anything. Doesn't take much to kill threads. I have not found any school of threadfins downlake this year. I fish with perch almost exclusively now, unless I buy some shiners. Lots of big gizard shad around, as the stripers are not big enough to bother them yet.

Hopefully it's the weather warming up to quick. Something simple like that.

I am worried for the Brazos river system with this drought. Seems like thatโ€™s when the GA pops up ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

That's good news that TPW is looking into this. Was at a party in the cliffs yesterday and a person with a dock on the North Peninsula told me that they had a shad kill there and that the fish that normally come to his green light and fish feeder are now gone. If it's just threadfin shad it may be OK. We lost the threads downlake in the big freeze and I have not seen them come back in any numbers. For those Carp and perch to not come to that fish feeder is worrisome.

I haven't been to the lake house in a couple of weeks, but the neighbor said there were some floaters on the west side over by green acres.... eek
