What's the best launch/ramp for Joe Pool Lake for a bass boat? I just moved to the DFW area from South TX and was thinking of going to Cedar Hill state park. Looks like there's two sets of ramps, but I'm not sure which is usually better in term.

I tend to prefer ramps that go far out into the lake and have docks since my old 2-stroke sometimes wants some love before fully firing up.

Thanks!

I'd say cedar Hill best ramp. Oasis get packed.

I believe you’re asking about the 2 seperate ramps that are both inside Cedar Hill State Park, correct? In the past both were fine and both had courtesy docks. The lake is only about one foot below “full pool” so either should be good.

The area by the marina was closed earlier this year for construction. They may be done, i'm not sure. This is a good ramp if it's open. Never used the one on the other end of the park so I can't say how it is.

They’re all good. I use Lloyd Park ramp, because it has plenty of room to beach a boat. It’s not the closest to me, but worth the extra drive.

The first boat ramp in the state park was closed a couple weeks ago. The best ramp on the lake as far as the ramp goes is Lynn Creek but it is also the busiest. State park one is not at nice of a ramp but not as crowded. Lloyd park one is nice but not nice enough to pay 15$ for me. Lynn Creek had some construction or something going on the last time I was there and they didn't charge me to launch

How crazy is the Lloyd Park ramp during the summer? Do the lake lice hog the ramp by setting up chairs on the docks and let their kids run around like hellions?

LOL. I was hoping people up here were more civilized than those down south. Looks like the days of enjoying the Choke Canyon boat ramp experience where the only people launching are anglers is over.
