Wow, going up big time. Have to renew/change by 7/15 and the cost per kilowatt hour has almost doubled from last year.

Between utilities, property tax increases, insurance cost increases gas prices and this inflation s*** on everything, I'm really starting to feel the impact along with hundreds of thousands of others.

Any of you other Retirees beginning to feel the pinch?

Just waiting for when we the people take our guns to the big house!!!! Not talking a few thousand....I'm talking millions. Until then, we just keep bending over.

You appear to have the farthest to go. Go ahead and load up and let us know when you get on the road...........

Mine is $.113 per kwh last month bill $83.45. How much increase are you talking about? Give us numbers last year and new increase. I don't disagree inflation is pounding us but real numbers on your electric rate.

Currently pay 9.3 cents per Kilowatt hour. Similar plans now averaging 16.0 to 18.0 cents per kilowatt hour.

Yes I was kind of shell shocked when we renewed recently. Went from .8.9 to .16.8 .

Rising costs of everything have many retirees worrying. Time for us to get another job.

Damn that is a jump! We dog set the neighbors puppies every day while they are at work ($125), I also shred a couple of lots in the neighborhood for some extra cash. Next year my wife starts receiving SS I will feel a bit better about inflation.
Thanks for the update.

I'm gonna quit complaining about the 13.3 I'm paying... compared to the 11.5 it was a few months before.

I was paying $0.051440/kWh but after my renewal I am now paying $0.12699/kWh, an increase of $0.07555/kWh.

Last year my total kWh used was almost 11,000 which means I can expect to pay at least $825 more for electricity for the upcoming year.

My current rate is .092. When I start a new contract at the end of the month, my new rate will be .154. A 68% bump. FJB

I check rates on Power To Chose now and then even though I locked in 2 years ago on a 3 year contract. Last time I looked I did not see any short term plans and the lowest plans were all 5 years. Seems like REPs want to lock you in at the current rates long term. Not sure when but at some point natural gas prices will come down.

I am locked in at .09 till August 2024. I can only hope things settle down by then. I was reluctant to lock in for three years but glad I did now.

My current bill was $26 less than the same cycle last year, but we were out of town part of the time, so it's nothing to get excited about.

Ours is jumping from .095 to .134....Not happy with that, but we did get that price for 24 months.
